Relieve Anxiety

Release Anxiety By Simplifying

StressTake this moment to be still. Take this moment to close your eyes and breathe in deeply. Take this moment to think about something that makes you feel good. Look around you. What do you see that is beautiful? What around you is perfectly put together and strong (besides yourself)? What can you simply appreciate for its existence?

When you let life be simple, you allow peace and ease to settle in your mind and body. The truth is that life was meant to be lived simply, it is our minds that take us down the dark and windy roads of anxiety, frustration, and confusion. For example, dating is really a very simple act, yet if you were to talk with any one of my girlfriends, you would think that getting to know someone is exhausting. I have known many women to pick at and analyze a guy’s every move, word, text, and reason for doing or not doing something. I’ve seen women turn into pseudo-psychologists after being rejected or blown-off when all that was really needed was to use the experience as an experience, gain some clarity, and move on.

On that same note, let your life and your dreams be simple as well. There is no need to become anxious or downtrodden trying to figure out your entire life. We are not capable of knowing what life is going to bring us tomorrow, let alone years from now. What we do know is what makes us happy in this moment, and whatever that is, is exactly what you are meant to do. Let it be that simple. Find what makes you happy and stick with it. Once you do, you will see life unfold before you, opening up doors to guide you on your way.

Now, I understand there are times when certain decisions will seem more difficult than others because they may involve other people or have more of a significant impact on your life. But remember, that is merely a perception based from fear. Making a decision can be simple, whether it means that you decide to not make a decision right now or that you decide to stay the same, just make a decision. It will bring so much more peace into your life.

When your mind tries to take you down the road of confusion and difficulty, just remember that it is your mind speaking and not your heart. When you really want to know which way your heart is leading you, try meditating. As I mentioned earlier, your mind is not capable of knowing what the future holds. Your heart, however, knows exactly what the perfect next steps for you are. Your heart is the most energetically powerful and most spiritually potent part of you. Your heart-space is the area where your soul communicates with your mind.

The goal is to have both the mind and heart working together harmoniously. Living solely through the heart is a magical, nonsensical, and chaotic way to live, whereas living solely through the mind will drive you insane as it is easy to convince yourself to either side of the fence. Lawyers and Salesmen do this daily, having the ability to speak from both sides of their mouth. It is when you strike a balance between both the mind and heart that knowing what to do becomes a simple process. You can always find a reason if there is a will, but only the heart determines where the will is.

To get in touch with your heart, you simply need to quiet the restless mind. This may mean that it’s time for you to take some action. If you have been going back and forth with what kind of career you want, start by picking one thing and sticking to it. If you believe you would love to be a writer, start writing! Make a goal to write a weekly column, a novel, or both! Pick whatever makes you most excited. Once you begin doing something, you will soon see if it is truly what you love. If it is, you will stick with it through the ups and downs and eventually manifest your dream. If it’s not something you love, you will figure that out very quickly.

Remember that with whatever you choose to do, “there is nothing serious going on here,” as Abraham-Hicks teaches. Keep it simple and do what makes you happy. When you follow your heart, you will gracefully fall into the flow of where you are meant to be. When you live simply, think simply, and take action, you will realize how easily life can flow to you. You will have peace and fulfillment. You will radiate self-assuredness with the confidence of knowing who you are and what it is you want from life, which is precisely what will you receive.
