At first glance it can seem a bit challenging or unconventional, but once you embrace it and commit to it, you’ll quickly reap its rewards.
So first let’s take a quick look at why we ever even come to this point. For most of us, life has a tendency to complicate itself when we continuously get caught up in the hyper pace and drama of day-to-day living.
We start worrying about every little thing that comes up and before we know it, we’re stuck in a stressed out rut that becomes “normal” for us.
Instead of recognizing it for what it is and making the choice to change what we’re doing or change our response, we simply accept the stressed out state of mind.
Although it’s uncomfortable, we just pass it off or complain about it and get up the next day and do it all over again. Years can go by before we even really notice what we’re doing to ourselves.
More importantly and unfortunately, we lose sight of the life we imagined we’d be living because we feel stuck and don’t know why or how to change it.
So what is it we can do to make life a whole lot easier? We can make the choice to start paying attention to and taking action on what makes us happy and brings joy into our lives—right now–today. Stay with me here. I know it sounds like a tall order, but you can do it.
You see, if you begin to let go of all the things that you allow to make you miserable, stressed, worried, or unhappy and instead make the decision to focus on what makes you happy and brings you joy, you’ll start to see significant positive change.
Why? Because when you make the choice to focus on the things that make you happy and bring joy into your life, you also open yourself up to focusing on solutions rather than problems themselves when they do arise.
When you adopt this mindset and make the choice to be positive and not let yourself get sucked into fear, worry, and stress, these negative emotions will begin to become a thing of the past.
And, when they do come up, you’ll immediately recognize them for what they are and make the choice to send them packing. It may not be easy in the beginning, but most things that are worthwhile usually take some work.
This is one of the many keys to personal power. It’s a new beginning, a positive shift in thinking, a whole new perspective, a whole new way of life.
Now that you’re aware you can make the choice and start making this positive change, ask yourself which type of life you’d rather live. The answer should be obvious and give you the determination you need to persevere and succeed.
Most importantly, remember it’s a choice you can make. It’s a choice that will change everything. It’s a choice you can make that will work and make your life a whole lot easier—if you let it!
