The No. 1 Way to Make the Right Decisions

smiling_womanDo you make the right decisions easily and effortlessly?

Have you ever found yourself asking friends, family, or co-workers to help you make the right decisions about an opportunity that came up for you?  It might be whether or not you should take a chance on a new job offer or move out of state for a new romantic relationship or go after your dream and open your own business.

These are just a few examples of the many, many questions that come up for all of us at different times in our lives.  But, even with the help of others we often think we can’t make the right decisions, so what do most of us do?  We obsess and struggle with making the decisions until we wear ourselves out.

Here’s a way you can tell if something is right for you–whether it’s that job offer, the potential move for the love of your life, or any other potential opportunity.  It could even be a simple answer you’re trying to find to a simple question.  Either way, here’s a surefire way to make the right decision.

Pay attention to how you feel.

First, pay attention to any physical sensations or sensitivities you get when thinking about or trying to make a decision in any situation; and second, let those feelings be your guide.

In other words, if you feel excited when considering going forward with something new, this is an absolute sign that saying yes is the right decision.  If, however, you feel stressed or your energy is depleted, saying yes is surely not the right choice for you.

This is your intuition at work – let it be your guide.

When you pay attention to these physical responses and understand what they’re telling you, you are putting your intuition or inner wisdom to work for you.  This is your intuition signaling you–your soul providing you guidance so you make the right decisions.  Remember, it’s always there for you, to show you the way–so tap into it, relax, and let it be your guide.

How to deliberately connect with your intuition.

You can and should also connect with your intuition deliberately to ask for guidance.  You can ask for guidance at any time of the day or night by taking just a minute to do so, but I find it more beneficial to take 15 to 20 minutes or more to connect.

Just go somewhere where you won’t be interrupted and can relax and quiet your mind.  Sit or lie down, whichever is more comfortable for you, take a couple good, deep breaths, and clear your mind of the day’s noise.  Then ask your question.

It can be a general question or you can be more specific if you’d like.  Once you ask, be still, be quiet, and listen and observe the stillness and wait for a response.  You may receive an image or an idea or even an auditory response.  Do know that your response may not come to you immediately, but it will come.  If it doesn’t come during your meditative session, it’s okay.

It could be several minutes, several hours, or perhaps several days.  Whenever it comes, it will be divine timing.  Be aware and ready to receive this divine guidance, and know that it will never lead you in the wrong direction.

Be consistent and practice connecting with your intuition – your divine inner wisdom.

With practice, you’ll connect more easily than if you only make the effort occasionally.  Your connections will also likely be more powerful.  Be consistent for better results.  When you receive guidance, remember, too, to be emotionally grateful for that guidance for it is a powerful and divine gift indeed.
