It sounds pretty exhausting, doesn’t it? A mum has to take care of her child, and we can all imagine how much effort raising a kid is, but that’s by far not all she has to do. A mum should also take care of all the hundreds of daily responsibilities every person has, such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, doing the laundry and sometimes even doing a part-time job at home.     Take A Break

    All a busy mum needs sometimes is to take a small break and pamper herself. Ask your relatives or friend to take care of your child for a couple of hours, or better yet for a whole day, and plan a nice relaxation day. Here you have many options, so it basically depends on your own preferences. You can have a nice time at a spa salon to get a therapeutic massage or relax in a sauna; you can take a long walk in the park or somewhere away from the city noise; or you can just stay at home, reading a book and enjoying quiet time alone. It’s totally up to you, so try and make the best of your free time, since you know that you won’t get much of it again soon.

    Set A Cleaning Routine

    If you’re not in an urgent need of a break but yet you need to de-stress a little, setting a cleaning routine could come as a surprisingly nice stress relief. Plan your daily chores at home and divide them into days, so that the work seems easier to complete. For example, clean the floors on Mondays and then clean the windows on Tuesdays, etc. The more organised your work at home is, the more effective the results will be, since you won’t really get frustrated with which task to take care of first or how to cope with everything at once. While you do the cleaning, play some nice music on your iPod or mp3 player and enjoy your time while taking care of the chores at home. If you are too tired you could hire a cleaning company to do the job for you. In the meantime, you could go for a walk.

    Take A Long Bath

    It’s clear, a nice warm aromatic bath can do miracles. It’s definitely a great stress relief that will make you feel much better and relaxed. Take a couple of hours while your child is sleeping and pour warm water in your tub. Light up some scented candles and turn the lights off. Play some chill out music, enter the tub and enjoy your time. You’ll see that very shortly you’ll feel like a whole new person.

    Ladies, It’s Shopping Time

    Another guaranteed way to de-stress is to spend some money on yourself and buy something that will raise your happiness levels. Invite a friend, or a few, to a girls-time shopping spree. This might not recharge you with a lot of energy but will at least make you feel happy and less stressed for a while.

    Work Out

    Working our can be a very good stress relief as well. Go to the gym and work up your sweat. Or, you can go to the park and spend an hour on jogging. Either way, you will undoubtedly feel relieved and perhaps pleasantly tired. If you’re not a fan of gyms or jogging, you can do some yoga at home. Find nice zen music on the Internet, light up some candles and close the curtains. Yoga is a great way to de-stress and relax both your body and mind.
